Abstract:
The presenter will demonstrate a sample of computer-supported component
of the Persian Farsi Basic Course currently under development at the Defense
Language Institute in Monterey. This coursware offers not only a variety
of interactive language activities, but also a range of helpful tools
such as notepad, typing tutor, interactive alphabet chart, keyboard layout,
and character separator. All these activities are programmed as client-side
applications for the Internet browser environment and will allow use of
the SmartBoard; technology.
