Luba Grant
Defense Language Institute
Luba Grant is currently the Dean of Asian School I at the Defense Language
Institute, Presidio of Monterey, CA. The School provides language and
area studies instruction in Chinese, Japanese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and
Thai. From 1993 to 2002 she was the Dean of the School of Middle East
II (Arabic, and in the past, Persian Farsi languages and area studies.)
From 1987 to 1993 Luba Grant served as a Dean in both East European Schools
(Russian language and area studies). She is a graduate of Indiana University,
Bloomington, Indiana. Dean Grant has strong interest in computer-assisted
and Web-based instruction.
