Directions by Car

Southbound from San Francisco

1. Go south along Highway 101 until you reach Salinas (Prunedale area).
2. Take Highway 156 west toward the Monterey Peninsula and Highway 1 for approximately 30 minutes.
3. Take the exit to the former main entrance of Fort Ord.
4. The exit will put you on LIGHT FIGHTER DRIVE
5. Proceed down LIGHT FIGHTER DRIVE through the first blinking signal
6. Make a LEFT at the second blinking signal onto NORTH-SOUTH ROAD
7. Make a RIGHT on THIRD STREET
8. Turn RIGHT on SIXTH AVENUE

Northbound from Los Angeles

1. Take Highway 101 north to Salinas.
2. Take Monterey Peninsula exit (Sanborn Road). At the stop sign, turn right to go back under the freeway (1st light)
3. Follow Sanborn Road through 3 traffic lights. At the fourth light (Main Street), turn left onto Highway 68 towards Monterey.
4. Follow Highway 68 for approximately 20 minutes to the Del Rey Oaks turnoff on the righthand side, onto Highway 218.
5. Follow Highway 218 through Del Rey Oaks, then into Seaside, to the freeway entrance of Highway 1.
6. Go north on Highway 1.
7. Take the exit to the former main entrance of Fort Ord.
8. The exit will put you on LIGHT FIGHTER DRIVE
9. Proceed down LIGHT FIGHTER DRIVE through the first blinking signal
10. Make a LEFT at the second blinking signal onto NORTH-SOUTH ROAD
11. Make a RIGHT on THIRD STREET
12. Turn RIGHT on SIXTH AVENUE

Westbound from Central Valley

1. Take Highway 152 west from Insterstate Highway 5
2. Go south along Highway 101 until you reach Salinas (Prunedale area).
3. Take Highway 156 west toward the Monterey Peninsula and Highway 1 for approximately 30 minutes.
4. Take the exit to the former main entrance of Fort Ord.
5. The exit will put you on LIGHT FIGHTER DRIVE
6. Proceed down LIGHT FIGHTER DRIVE through the first blinking signal
7. Make a LEFT at the second blinking signal onto NORTH-SOUTH ROAD
8. Make a RIGHT on THIRD STREET
9. Turn RIGHT on SIXTH AVENUE

Directions by air

From Monterey Peninsula Airport

1. When you exit the airport's main entrance, turn right onto Highway 68 west.
2. Follow 68 to Highway 1.
3. Take Highway 1 north.
4. Take the exit to the main entrance of CSU Monterey Bay. (Some of the signs still say "Fort Ord.")
5. The exit will put you on LIGHT FIGHTER DRIVE
6. Proceed down LIGHT FIGHTER DRIVE through the first blinking signal
7. Make a LEFT at the second blinking signal onto NORTH-SOUTH ROAD
8. Make a RIGHT on THIRD STREET
9. Turn RIGHT on SIXTH AVENUE
