Abstract
Mount San Antonio College and Santa Monica College both have brand new Tandberg Language Labs and have used Telestes Library Pilot to organize the database that the students use to find the material. We would like 1) to demonstrate the models that we have developed for each of our distinct situations and how our students navigate through the system to find what they need, 2) toexplain the rationale guiding the choices we have made in order to meet the needs of our different language programs, our faculty and our students and 3) to share our experiences working with this tool.
Method of Presentation:
Projection of materials from laptops, lecture and discussion.
Anticipated Benefit to Participants:
This presentation of two contrasting models would be beneficial to current users of Library Pilot and to participants exploring database organization for Language Labs.
