- Tech Tutors, a Service Learning course in which the students tutor in
the use of computers, multimedia production,and networking. Currently
completing an America Online grant for the production of a prototype of a
kiosk to increase parental involvement in a local elementary school
situated in a depressed area. Beginning work on a collaboration project
with a Computer Architecture course in which students gain hands-on
experience in upgrading computers and Tech Tutors place the upgraded
machines in homes of disadvantaged families after training the family
members in installation and basic use.
Abstract
A multimedia instructor and students will share their experience in developing a prototype of the Japanese Language Lab Tutorial as a class project.
