Biographical Notes

Mr Andrzej Styrcz: MA degree in Applied Linguistics, University of Lodz, Poland. Since 1992 with Teleste Educational, Finland (mother company of Tandberg Educational-
and Auditek-branded language learning systems). From 1992 to 97 - Sales
Manager for Europe (located in Guildford and Cambridge, UK). 1997 - to
date, Marketing Manager in Turku, Finland.

Abstract

Partner Tools is an easy to use authoring tool which consists of six
designer modules and a student browser application. Partner Tools package
embraces a new philosophy of creating authentic multimedia materials (media
objects) with minimal knowledge of modern computing.

The Partner Tools media objects are perfectly suited for a campus-wide
Network environment and can easily be accessed by students through a
Library Pilot resource and management software application. This powerful
database provides media storage facilities for the secure intranet and
Internet access. Another significant component of such a virtual language
classroom is an interactive multimedia recorder - Divace.
