| Gus
Leonard came to CSUMB in 2000 from the University
of Minnesota CLA Language Center where he also
trained in Scandinavian Languages and Literature,
and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). He has taught English as a Foreign Language in Yamanashi-ken, Japan (1995-98), English as a Second Language at UMN, and Swedish as a Foreign Language at UMN and Minneapolis Community Education programs.
At
CSUMB he serves on the Technology Collaborative,
Assistive Technology Collaborative and Information
Technology Policy Advisory Committee.
He
has worked with the CSU-Sanako Virtual Learning
Lab and various rounds of the HP Mobility Grant
through the CSUMB WeTEC Institute supporting learning and technology integration.
He
currently serves as President for the SouthWest
Association for Language Learning Technology
(SWALLT). He was pleased to be the 2005 recipient of IALLT's Robert Henderson Award at the FLEAT5 Conference, BYU, Provo, UT. and contributed a chapter to IALLT's Digital Language Lab Solutions (DLLS) publication in 2005 and 2007.
