Maria R. Tringali is currently a part-time
Lecturer of Italian for the Institute for
World Languages and Cultures at CSU Monterey
Bay, as well as an Assistant Professor
of Italian at D.L.I.F.L.C., Presidio of Monterey,
Ca.
Dr. Tringali has been part of the WLC parttime
faculty since August, 1996.
She teaches two courses in the Fall semester,
Beginning Italian I, Ital. 101 and
Intermediare Italian I, Ital. 201; and two
courses in the Spring semester, Beginning
Italian II, Ital. 102 and Intermediate Italian
II, Ital. 202 at CSUMB.
She has developed the curriculum for the Italian
program at CSUMB and continues
to add new material and updates. She has attended
workshops, seminar and conferences
sponsored by the WLC and by the Monterey Bay
Foreign Language Project.
She has been an Assistant Professor of Italian
at D.L.I.F.L.C. since March 2, 1998.
She has taught at DLI for approximately 8
years. Besides teaching Italian at DLI, she
has
attended several workshops for professional
development and she has worked with
a team of Italian instructors to develop test
items for the students.
She has been an Adjunct Professor at the Monterey
Institute Of International Studies,
and the Italian language coordinator for the
Summer Intensive Language Program.
She taught Elementary and Intermediate Italian
during the Summer Intensive Language
Program and Advanced Italian during the Fall
and Spring semesters at MIIS.
