Six students who are about to graduate with a bachelor of arts degree from CSU Monterey Bay’s Japanese Language and Culture program will head to Japan this summer to work in the prestigious JET program.

A Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics and Professor of Spanish Language and Linguistics at the University of Piura, Perú, Dr. Arrizabalaga joins us this term as a visiting professor to temporarily fill the vacancy left by Dr.

Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston, author of Farewell to Manzanar, and favored WLC guest speaker, will address the theme of searching for democracy and civil rights violations through the story of her family's life in an internment camp.
