Modern Bullet Train "Shinkansen" in Japan

Japan has a modern, highly efficient train "Shinkansen" which is fast and convenient. All the major cities of three large islands - Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu - have extensive bullet train "Shinkansen" networks. All Shinkansen trains bear numbering systems which indicate their direction to and from Tokyo, the capital city.

The Shinkansen in Japan is the world's fastest train. Moreover, the train is quiet and safe compared to the traditional ones and runs as frequently as every 15 minutes between major cities.

Since Japan lies in a small, narrow geographical base and stretches out a long distance centering around Tokyo, the Shinkansen is the ideal transportation system for its people. Compared to railways in other countries, Japan has the most highly dense volume of passenger transportation. All passengers must be transported quickly, efficiently, comfortably, and safely between cities lest every city should be crowded.

Now the original line has extended to Hakata in the west, and more routes have been opened in the south, and north-east part of Japan. The Shinkansen train helps the problem of transportation and the system is constantly studied for improvements. If Japan did not have a high speed, with frequency, transportation network, the traffic congestion would be unbearable.

Transportation is one of utmost demand to customers in Japan because of its population density. The Shinkansen furnishes good services with fast, safe, and frequent operation for the convenience of passengers. New routes are currently under construction and a new faster rolling train is continuously being developed. The Shinkasen seems a more favorable transportation in the future because of all the advantages the train will provide. Along with the expansion project, it is expected to have a maximum equivalent speed of 300 mph. The next-generation high-speed, safer, low-noise, more comfort giving Shinkansen is targeting vehicles Japanese people will ride and enjoy. Japan's leadership in technology has established it as the country with the most advanced train transportation in the world.
